Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs

La Intel Xe Graphics G7 (GPU Tiger-Lake U con 96 EU) è una scheda grafica integrata nelle CPU Tiger-Lake U di fascia alta (15 - 28 Watt). Utilizza la nuova architettura Xe (Gen12) ed è stata introdotta nel settembre 2020. La GPU ha una velocità di clock di base (garantita) di 400 MHz in tutte le CPU e può arrivare fino a 1340 MHz (i7-1185G7). La variante più lenta offre solo 1100 MHz di boost (i5-1130G7, 12 Watt TDP).

Le prestazioni dipendono dalle impostazioni TDP del portatile e dal raffreddamento utilizzato. Le prime informazioni mostrano che il chip può essere configurato a 12 e 28 Watt TDP di default (come i chip Ice Lake-U) e le prestazioni dovrebbero essere intorno ad una GeForce MX350 dedicata nei benchmark 3DMark. Per il gaming ci aspettiamo prestazioni un po' peggiori a causa della mancanza della memoria grafica dedicata e del supporto dei driver. Molti giochi, ad esempio, hanno avuto problemi durante il test dei vari portatili (ad esempio Horizon Zero Dawn o Cyberpunk 2077 non si avviavano o andavano in crash - vedi elenco qui sotto). I giochi meno impegnativi come Mass Effect Legendary Edition funzionavano bene con impostazioni medie. Rispetto alla vecchia GPU Ice Lake Iris Plus G7, la nuova GPU Tiger Lake dovrebbe essere circa due volte più veloce. Pertanto, l'iGPU è ancora solo per le impostazioni grafiche più basse e le basse risoluzioni nei giochi esigenti.

I SoC Tiger Lake e quindi la GPU integrata sono prodotti nel moderno processo 10nm+ (10nm SuperFin) di Intel e quindi dovrebbero offrire un'ottima efficienza.
