Il prezzo è di 1600€ per la versione con schermo Full HD, questo con display 4K, 1TB di SSD e 16GB di RAM costa 2000€. Non sono pochi ma devo dire che è costruito veramente benissimo, le finiture sono al top e mi sono piaciute le prestazioni, comprese quelle della scheda video Xe integrata, ottime anche per il 3D.

Il funzionamento è sempre molto silenzioso e il calore generato tale da non creare problemi; l'autonomia complessiva di buon livello, anche se altri modelli riescono a fare di meglio, e lo schermo 4K decisamente valido quanto a qualità complessiva. Queste caratteristiche, unite alla flessibilità della natura propria di un notebook 2-in-1 convertibile, si scontrano con un prezzo di listino elevato in assoluto: parliamo di 2.099€ IVA inclusa, cifra che deve tenere conto della qualità nella costruzione, dell'integrazione del pennino e della dotazione tra CPU top di gamma, memoria di sistema e storage via SSD. Se prendiamo quale riferimento uno dei più diffusi 2-in-1 di tipo detachable, Microsoft Surface Pro 7, a parità di storage e memoria di sistema il prezzo di questo Yoga 9i è inferiore del 20% pur a fronte di uno schermo più grande pur a fronte di uno schermo 4K e di una CPU di ultima generazione.

Is the Yoga 9i good enough for an outright class win? Not quite. I found the trackpad and fingerprint scanner just too bothersome. Is the HP Spectre the best then? Again, no. While the HP’s OLED screen is a delight, the Yoga 9i's display runs it a very close second and is bigger. And the Yoga has a better sound system and superior battery life. The Dell then? None of the competition has the XPS 13’s super-slim screen bezels but you don’t get a pen let alone a slot for one, or a Type-A USB port for that matter. And what about Asus’ ZenBook Flip? The thermal management issues in our review sample would give me pause if I planned on intensive use. If it was my money I would plump for either the Dell XPS 13 because of its super thin bezels or the Yoga 9i because of the speaker quality but both machines have their benefits and drawbacks.

The Lenovo Yoga 9i is a premium laptop that suffers a lackluster performance and clunky build for what’s supposed to be a 2-in-1 device.
