Il Razer Book 13 e il Dell XPS 13 sono alcuni dei portatili da 13 pollici più attraenti sul mercato al momento, ma non siamo qui per parlare di look. Cercheremo invece di confrontarli il più obiettivamente possibile per vedere quale sistema ne esce vincitore. Dopotutto, i numeri sono difficili da contestare in definitiva.

Razer ha il chiaro vantaggio in questa categoria. Il Book 13 integra tutte le porte dell'XPS 13 più USB-A full-size e persino HDMI.

Display

Entrambi utilizzano lo stesso pannello IPS Sharp LQ134N1 e la stessa retroilluminazione per un'esperienza visiva sostanzialmente identica. Il Book 13 sconfigge abilmente l'XPS 13 in termini di prestazioni del processore. I valori di clock sono sia più alti che più costanti superando il Dell in tutti i benchmarks delle prestazioni della CPU con un margine di vantaggio.

Keyboard e ClickPad

Il Razer ha il clickpad leggermente più grande (11,1 x 7 cm contro 11,2 x 6,5 cm), ma il clic sulla sua superficie è più morbido e spugnoso rispetto al Dell. Inoltre, la tastiera sul Dell è più solida e più soddisfacente da usare. Anche i tasti lungo i bordi sono più grandi che sul Razer, dato che non ci sono griglie per gli altoparlanti di cui preoccuparsi.

Un vantaggio unico sulla tastiera del Razer è l'illuminazione RGB per tasto. Tuttavia, questa è una caratteristica solo estetica.

Autonomia della batteria

Il sistema Dell è solo leggermente più efficiente in termini di potenza quando è sottoposto a carichi medio-pesanti. La durata complessiva della batteria, tuttavia, favorisce ancora il sistema Razer di quasi 4 ore in più quando entrambi i sistemi si trovano nelle stesse condizioni WLAN.

Inoltre, l'adattatore AC per l'XPS 13 è di soli 45 W rispetto ai 65 W del Razer, il che spiega in parte perché il sistema Razer può superare il Dell sulla maggior parte dei benchmarks.

Le temperature di superficie sono più elevate sul Dell che sul Razer. I punti caldi in alto e in basso possono raggiungere rispettivamente 47° C e 46° C, rispetto ai 38° C e 43° C del Razer. Valutazione complessiva

Il Razer Book 13 si distingue per prestazioni migliori, temperature più basse e una durata della batteria ancora più lunga rispetto al Dell XPS 13 9310. È un po' più pesante e più grande, ma i vantaggi sopra citati e le opzioni di porta aggiuntive potrebbero superare lo svantaggio di dimensioni minori per molti utenti. Inoltre, si dà il caso che sia molto più costoso del Dell XPS 13 9310 se configurato con le stesse opzioni di CPU, display, RAM e SSD.
