Intel Core i7-1165G7
L'Intel Core i7-1165G7 è un SoC quad-core a basso consumo energetico per laptop e Ultrabook basato sulla generazione Tiger Lake-U (UP4) introdotta nel settembre 2020. Integra quattro core di processore Willow Cove (otto thread grazie all'Hyper-Threading). Ogni core può clockare da 2,8 GHz (velocità di base garantita) a 4,7 GHz (boost a singolo core). Tutti i core in una sola volta possono clockare fino a 4,1 GHz. Al momento dell'annuncio, l'i7-1165G7 è il secondo modello più veloce della line-up dopo il Core i7-1185G7 (+100 - 200 MHz).
Un'altra novità è la scheda grafica Xe integrata basata sulla nuovissima architettura Gen 12. Dovrebbe offrire prestazioni significativamente più elevate rispetto alla vecchia Iris Plus G7 (Ice Lake). Nell'i7-1185G7 utilizza 96 EU e orologi a 400 - 1300 MHz (-50 MHz contro 1185G7). La GPU e la CPU possono utilizzare insieme i 12 MB di cache L3.
Inoltre, Tiger Lake SoCs aggiunge il supporto PCIe 4 (quattro corsie), l'accelerazione hardware AI e l'integrazione parziale di Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 e Wi-Fi 6 nel chip.
Il chip viene prodotto nel processo migliorato a 10nm+ (chiamato SuperFin) alla Intel che dovrebbe essere paragonabile al processo a 7nm alla TSMC (ad esempio serie Ryzen 4000).
Il campo di funzionamento della serie UP3 è specificato da 12 a 28 Watt. Pertanto, il processore è adatto anche per i portatili sottili e leggeri.
