C'è un nuovo HP Spectre da 13,5 pollici e supera assolutamente lo Spectre da 13,3 pollici che l'ha preceduto. Il passaggio al formato 3:2 è una mossa naturale per mettere la serie Spectre più in linea con i concorrenti prosumer come la serie Dell XPS o Asus ZenBook S.

La prima novità di Windows 11 è la barra delle applicazioni rinnovata nella grafica e con un pulsante start anch’esso rinnovato e che porta a menù decisamente più minimal e puliti. Non si può però più portare a sinistra o destra, si può solo mettere l’impostazione “nascondi barra delle applicazioni” per farla scomparire quando non ci si trova con il puntatore sopra. Sempre per quanto riguarda la grafica in generale è ridisegnata e più curata in tutti i menu, il problema è che alcuni sotto-menù, come quello per installare nuove app o quello del pannello di controllo hanno ancora la vecchissima grafica di Windows 7 se non XP! Non ci sono più i live tiles, che creavano un po’ di confusione, adesso il menù start è pulito e comprende solo le app principali o, se vogliamo, le più usate. Nascono però i widget, che ovviamente sono personalizzabili e si trovano tutti ordinati in una schermata raggiungibile da un pulsante sulla barra delle applicazioni. Si possono anche aprire più desktop contemporaneamente e per passare da uno all’altro basta fare uno swipe laterale con 3 dita.

The HP Spectre x360 14 is the company's first Spectre two-in-one with a taller display than the 16:9 widescreen displays you're probably used to seeing. Acer has already released a laptop and a two-in-one with 3:2 displays and, Thursday Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Go with the same screen ratio, which it has used on past Surface models too. While widescreens are nice for entertainment, the 3:2 ratio is roughly the same as a standard A4 sheet of paper and has about 20% more vertical viewing space than a 16:9 display.
