Intel Core i7-10810U
L'Intel Core i7-10810U è un SoC esafonico ad alta efficienza energetica per notebook basato sulla generazione Comet Lake (CML-U) ed è apparso nel marzo 2020. Rispetto agli analoghi processori Whiskey Lake (ad esempio Core i5-8665U), l'unica differenza è il supporto per velocità di memoria più elevate (DDR4-2666 vs 2400) e due core aggiuntivi nel modello di punta. I core del processore hanno un clock tra 1,1 e 4,9 GHz. Grazie a HyperThreading si possono utilizzare 12 thread. La CPU supporta le funzioni di gestione professionale vPro (a differenza dell'i7-10710U).
Grazie ai due core aggiuntivi e alle elevate velocità di clock, le prestazioni del processore dell'i7-10710U sono molto buone per la sua classe. Dovrebbe superare i migliori processori Whiskey Lake e anche Ice Lake se le impostazioni di raffreddamento e TDP non sono limitanti.
La scheda grafica integrata è comunque sempre la stessa delle generazioni precedenti. Dovrebbe essere ancora chiamata Intel HD Graphics 620 e clock da 300 - 1150 MHz nel i7. Inoltre, il SoC integra un de- ed encoder VP9 e H.265 e un controller di memoria integrato a doppio canale DDR4-2666 / LPDDR4x 2933 / LPDDR3-2133.
Il chip è ancora prodotto nel processo 14nm+++ come Whiskey Lake. Il TDP (PL1) è specificato a 15 Watt ma può essere variato da 12,5 a 25 Watt dal produttore (cTDP su/giù) con conseguenti prestazioni diverse (specialmente la durata del Turbo). Per fornire le massime prestazioni, Intel propone un breve picco di potenza di 90 W (PL4) per l'i7 e quindi 8 W in più rispetto alle CPU quad-core CML-U e un enorme 19 W in più rispetto a Whiskey Lake. Pertanto, alcuni portatili sottili con CPU CML-U da 15W non offrono l'i7 in quanto non sono in grado di fornire abbastanza potenza e raffreddamento per ottenere il massimo delle prestazioni dai 6 core.
