AMD R5 PRO 3500U

L'AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U è un SoC mobile per portatili aziendali che è stato annunciato nell'aprile 2019. Combina quattro core Zen+ (8 fili) con clock a 2,1 - 3,7 GHz con una scheda grafica Radeon RX Vega 8 con 8 CU (512 Shaders) con clock fino a 1200 MHz. Specificato a 15 Watt TDP, il SoC è destinato ai portatili sottili di fascia media. Rispetto all'analoga variante di consumo Ryzen 5 3500U, il modello PRO presenta caratteristiche aggiuntive di gestione e sicurezza (ad esempio, crittografia completa della memoria) e garanzia / disponibilità più lunga.

I SoC Picasso utilizzano la microarchitettura Zen+ con lievi miglioramenti che dovrebbero portare ad un miglioramento del 3% di IPS (performance per clock). Inoltre, il processo a 12 nm consente un clock più elevato a consumi energetici simili.

Il controllore di memoria integrato a doppio canale supporta fino a DDR4-2400 memoria. Poiché le caratteristiche delle APU Picasso sono le stesse rispetto ai predecessori di Raven Ridge, segnaliamo il nostro articolo di lancio di Raven Ridge.

AMD afferma che le APU Picasso sono circa l'8% più veloci dei predecessori. Pertanto, il Ryzen 5 3500U dovrebbe essere più veloce del Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U (2 - 3,6 GHz) e quasi alla pari con il Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U (2,2 - 3,8 GHz).
