Intel Core i5-L16G7
Il Core i5-L16G7 è un SoC con 5 core di processore basato sull'architettura Lakefield. Utilizza un veloce core Sunny Cove (conosciuto dalle CPU Ice-Lake ma senza AVX512) con fino a 3 GHz e 4 piccoli core Tremont (Atom / Celeron) con fino a 2,8 GHz. Utilizzando tutti e 5 i core, la CPU può raggiungere fino a 1,8 GHz, la velocità di clock di base è di 1,4 GHz. La CPU non supporta HyperThreading / SMT. Il resto del SoC è simile ai chip Ice Lake, come la scheda grafica Gen 11 con 64 EU (simile all'Iris Plus G7 ma solo con clock a 500 MHz e con il nome UHD Graphics).
Secondo Intel, la L16G7 dovrebbe essere circa il 24% più veloce nelle applicazioni multi threaded e il 12% più veloce nelle applicazioni single threaded rispetto al vecchio Core i7-8500Y (Amber Lake-Y, 2 core, 1,5 - 4,2 GHz). Ciò significa che dovrebbe essere leggermente più lento del Core i3-8130U.
Con un TDP specificato di 7 Watt (PL1, 9.5 Watt PL2), la CPU si adatta bene ai laptop sottili e leggeri e ai tablet basati su Windows. / 2-in-1. Intel sostiene che la potenza di standby è stata notevolmente ridotta (91% in più rispetto all'i7-8500Y con 2,5 mW). Il SoC è prodotto in 10nm e utilizza la tecnologia Intel Foveros 3D Packaging. Il Foveros è usato per impilare il die di I/O prodotto in 22FFL, il die di calcolo in 10nm e fino a 8 GB LPDDR4X-4267.
