AMD A6-9220e

L'AMD A6-9220e è un chip entry-level della serie Stoney-Ridge APU per notebook (settima generazione APU), che è stato annunciato a metà 2017. Il 9220e è un processore Stoney Ridge entry-level (versione dual-core di Bristol Ridge) e integra due core CPU (un modulo Excavator con 2 interi e su unità FP) con clock tra 1,6 - 2,4 GHz. Include anche una GPU Radeon R4, probabilmente con 192 shader a 600 MHz, così come un controller di memoria DDR4-2133 a canale singolo, motore video H.265 e chipset con tutte le porte I/O. Rispetto al similare A6-9220 il 9220e ha un clock significativamente più lento (2,5 - 2,9 GHz) compresa la GPU (600 contro 655 MHz) e può essere raffreddato passivamente grazie al TDP di 6W.

Architettura

Stoney Ridge è il successore dell'architettura Carrizo e il design è quasi identico. Grazie a processi produttivi ottimizzati e a un comportamento Boost più aggressivo, tuttavia, i clock sono un po' più alti a parità di consumo energetico. Il controller di memoria ora supporta anche DDR4-RAM, in questo caso fino a 2133 MHz. Stoney Ridge è la denominazione del chip più piccolo dual-core e single-core, mentre Bristol Ridge è il chip quad-core più grande con controller di memoria dual-channel. Prestazioni

A causa della velocità di clock significativamente inferiore, la A6-9220e è notevolmente più lenta della A6-9220. Nel benchmark Cinebench R15 Multi il 9220 raggiunge punteggi più alti del 38%, nel test single thread è più del doppio più veloce (219% contro il 9220 nell'HP 255 G6). Rispetto alle CPU Intel, l'A6-9220e è alla pari con il vecchio Celeron N2820 in Cinebench (single e multi core). Pertanto, la CPU è collocata nel segmento più basso (in termini di prestazioni) e adatta solo per compiti leggeri e multitasking leggero.

Scheda grafica

La GPU integrata Radeon R4 (Stoney Ridge) è probabilmente simile alla R5 con 192 unità shader attive (3 core di calcolo), ma un clock ridotto di soli 655 invece di 800 MHz. Maggiori dettagli sulla GPU sono disponibili negli articoli collegati sopra. 

Consumo energetico

AMD specifica il TDP della A6-9220e con 6 Watt e quindi significativamente sotto i 15 W della A6-9220. Questo significa che l'APU può essere raffreddata passivamente ed è una buona scelta per i notebook sottili e leggeri.
