AMD E1-1200

L'AMD E1-1200 (nome in codice Zacate) è un processore a dual core per piccoli portatili e netbooks. Offre una scheda grafica integrata relativamente potente ed un controller di memoria single channel DDR3-1066. Rispetto alla vecchia E-300, basata sullo stesso chip, la E1-1200 offre 100 MHz in più di clock CPU.

All'interno della E1-1200 possono accedere a 512KB di level 2 cache per core. Rispetto ai processori Atom, l'architettura Bobcat utilizza una esecuzione "out-of-order" e di conseguenza è più veloce pur avendo la stessa velocità clock. Tuttavia le prestazioni sono nettamente peggiori rispetto ai cores Penryn (Celeron) o Danube (Athlon II) con clok simile. In media le prestazioni cpu della E-300 sono appena sotto una Athlon X2 L310 da 1.2 GHz.

La scheda grafica integrata Radeon HD 7310 offre 80 shaders ed un processore video UVD3. Rispetto alla lenta GMA 3150 dei processori Atom, la HD7310 offre maggiori prestazioni ed è veloce quasi quanto una soluzione grafica Nvidia ION. Nell'E1-1200 la 7310 ha un clock da 500 MHz e di conseguenza non differisce molto dalla HD 6310 (488 - 500 MHz in base alla APU).

Il consumo energetico ha un TDP di  18 Watt secondo AMD. Stando alle prime recensioni dei prototipi Brazos i consumi sono tra 11 e 29 Watt. Siamo al livello di un (più potente) 11" MacBook Air che usa Windows 7.
