AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56

L'AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 è un processore Dual-Core con clock da 1.8 GHz. Si basa sul core K8 ed offre 512KB di Level 2 Cache per core. E' stato prima realizzato in 90nm con un TDP da 33 Watt e dal Maggio 2007 in 65nm con 31W di TDP.

Le prestazioni del Turion TL-56 sono paragonabili ad un Core Duo da 1.7 GHz con 1MB di Level 2 Cache (i.e. CPU Celeron T1600 3DMark06 e Cinebench 10 Benchmark). Tuttavia, alcuni benchmarks come SuperPi danno risultati nettamente peggiori (guardate i benchmarks in basso).

Il consumo energetico rispetto ai processori Core Duo è notevolmente superiore in media, comportando una durata della batteria inferiore.
