Intel Core i3-330UM

L'Intel Core i3-330UM è un processore dual-core con voltaggio Ultra Low per portatili piccoli e sottili. Ha un clock da 1.2 GHz e non sfrutta il Turbo Boost per l'overclock dei cores CPU. Un'altra feature che manca rispetto agli i5 ed i7 sono le funzioni AES. Ogni core si basa sulla micro architettura Nehalem (Westemere). L'hyperthreading consente alla CPU Dual Core di gestire 4 threads contemporaneamente (per un utilizzo ottimale della pipeline).

Una feature del nuovo Core i3-330UM è la scheda grafica integrata (chiamata Intel HD Graphics) il controller di memoria. Entrambi sono su una placca separata realizzata in 45nm mentre la die della CPU è realizzata con il nuovo processo in 32nm. La GMA HD è in grado di utilizzare il Turbo Boost per l'overclock da 133 a 500 MHz.

Grazie al controller di memoria integrato ed all'HyperThreading, il Core i3-330UM è più veloce rispetto ai Core 2 Duo (1.2 GHz) con medesimo clock in tutte (quelle che conosciamo) le applicazioni ed i benchmarks. Di conseguenza dovrebbe superare il Pentium SU7300 da 1.3 GHz. Tuttavia le prestazioni di gioco soffrono della bassa velocità clock.

Il consumo di energia di 18 Watt TDP (max.) comprende l'intero pacchetto e di conseguenza è nettamente migliore rispetto ai 17 Watt di TDP della serie Core 2 Duo SL (solo CPU).
