AMD E2-9000

L'AMD E2-9000 è il chip meno potente della serie di APU Stoney-Ridge per portatili (settima generazione di APU) al momento dell'annuncio nel 2017. Il SoC integra due CPU cores (un modulo Excavator con due unità ed una FP) con clock tra 1.8-2.2 GHz. Include anche una GPU Radeon R2 con clock da 600 MHz ed un controller di memoria single-channel DDR4-1866, un motore video H.265 ed un chipset con tutte le porte I/O. Rispetto al vecchio E2-9010, l'E2-9000 offre una velocità base inferiore (1.8 versus 2 GHz).

Architettura

Stoney Ridge è il successore dell'architettura Carrizo ed il design è quasi identico. Grazie ad un processo di produzione ottimizzato e al comportamento più aggressivo del Boost, tuttavia, i clocks sono leggermente superiori con lo stesso consumo energetico. Il controller di memoria ora supporta anche la DDR4-RAM, in questo caso fino a 2133 MHz. Stoney Ridge è il nome per i chips più piccoli dual-core e single-core, mentre Bristol Ridge è per i chip più grandi quad-core con controller di memoria dual-channel. Consumo Energetico

AMD specifica un TDP per l'E2-9000 di 10 Watts (rispetto al 9010 da 15W). Questo significa che l'APU è pensata per portatili sottili e leggeri.
