AMD Pro A12-8800B

L'AMD Pro A12-8800B è una APU Carrizo di primo livello del 2015 per portatili business. Si tratta di un SoC che ha due moduli CPU Excavator (con 4 unità integer e 2 FP che vanno come 4 compute cores), con una scheda grafica Radeon R7 con 8 compute cores (512 shaders), un controller di memoria DDR3-2133 (35 Watt cTDP) ed un motore video (che include UVD 6 con decodifica hardware HEVC / H.265). E' simile alla versione consumer, la FX-8800P, ma offre supporto business e garantisce un esteso supporto per i programmi. 

Le performances dei cores CPU e GPU dipendono dalla configurazione del TDP. Questo cTDP può variare da 12 a 35 Watts in base alla soluzione di raffreddamento ed alle dimensioni del portatile. Pertanto, la velocità clock dei compute cores varierà. I.e., la GPU si attesta tra 1992 punti (15 Watts) e 2753 punti (+38% con cTDP da 35 Watts) nel 3DMark 11 (basata sulla simile FX-8800P).

Secondo AMD, la configurazione da 35 Watt arriva al 12% (Cinebench single-thread) e al 15% (Cinebench Multi-threaded) in più rispetto alla precedente generazione Steamroller (come la AMD FX-7600P). Se invece è configurata a 15 Watt, i guadagni sono superiori (dal 40% al 55%) rispetto alla APU Kaveri FX-7500 19 Watt. Guardate gli altri benchmarks sulla nostra pagina dell'FX-8800P.
