Intel P9700

L'Intel Core 2 Duo P9700 è una CPU dual core di prima classe per portatili (al momento del lancio). E'il modello P Core 2 Duo più veloce e le prestazioni sono paragonabili al Core 2 Duo T9600. Anche il valore TDP è considerevolmente migliore (28 contro 35 Watt).

Grazie all'elevata velocità clock, la P9700 offre prestazioni sufficienti per i giochi esigenti (nel 2009) e per le applicazioni.

La P9700 usa un core Penryn che sfrutta 2 unità integer, 1 unità floating point, 1 unità load, ed 1 unità store in una pipeline 14-stages. Grazie alla tecnologia Wide Dynamic Execution, il core è in grado di eseguire contemporaneamente fino a quattro istruzioni.

L'Enhanced Speedstep integrato è in grado di effettuare un downclock del core dinamicamente (in modalità di riposo).

Il Core 2 Duo P9700 può essere usato in un Socket P socket a 479 pins.

Bollente. I fan dell'efficiente serie XPS di Dell sapranno ancora una volta come spendere il loro denaro - Dell adesso offre lo Studio XPS 16 con una efficiente scheda video ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670. In confronto alla configurazione al debutto della serie sul mercato, promette un grande aumento delle prestazioni. La seguente recensione svelerà come le prestazioni, le emissioni (acustiche e termiche) e l'autonomia si rapporteranno tra loro.
