Intel Celeron N4505

L'Intel Celeron N4505 è un SoC dual-core della serie Jasper Lake, destinato principalmente a desktop economici e di piccole dimensioni, annunciato all'inizio del 2021. I due core della CPU Tremont hanno un clock compreso tra 2 e 2,9 GHz (single core Burst) e non offrono HyperThreading (SMT). L'N4505 utilizza 1,5 MB di cache L2 e 4 MB di cache L3. Il chip è costruito con il processo Intel di prima generazione a 10 nm, proprio come i processori della famiglia Ice Lake.

Architettura della CPU

L'architettura del processore si chiama Tremont ed è una riprogettazione completa rispetto ai vecchi core Golmont Plus del predecessore. Secondo Intel, le prestazioni a thread singolo di un core potrebbero essere migliorate in media del 30% (10-80% in tutti i test SPECint e SPECfp).

Caratteristiche

Oltre al blocco CPU dual-core, il SoC integra una GPU Intel UHD Graphics da 16 EU con clock da 450 - 750 MHz e un controller di memoria LPDDR4(x) a doppio canale (fino a 16 GB e 2933 MHz). Il chip ora integra anche parzialmente il Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), 8 corsie PCIe 3.0, 14 porte USB 2.0/ 3.2 e due porte SATA 6.0. Il pacchetto è diventato più grande e misura 35 x 24 mm (rispetto ai 25 x 24 mm del modello N5030, ad esempio). Il SoC è saldato direttamente alla scheda madre (BGA) e non può essere sostituito facilmente.

Prestazioni

L'N4505 medio nel nostro database è veloce quanto l'AMD dual-core Athlon Silver 3050e e della generazione precedente di Intel Celeron N4100per quanto riguarda i punteggi dei benchmark multi-thread. In altre parole, il Celeron è buono per le attività quotidiane di base, ma non molto di più, a partire dalla metà del 2022.

Consumo di energia

Questo SoC della serie Celeron ha un TDP predefinito, noto anche come limite di potenza a lungo termine, di 10 W, che è abbastanza basso da consentire progetti con raffreddamento passivo.

L'N4505 è prodotto con il processo Intel di prima o seconda generazione (non sono disponibili dati precisi) a 10 nm, che garantisce un'efficienza energetica media, a partire dalla fine del 2022.
