L'Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 è un processore dual core per portatili. Sfrutta 2.26 GHz ed una memoria condivisa level 2 cache da 3 MB. A causa della cache ridotta (i modelli Core 2 Duo T ne hanno di solito 6 MB con questo clock rate), la TDP è di appena 25 Watt (invece dei 35 Watt dei modelli T).

Le prestazioni della P8400 sono alla pari della veloce Turion II Ultra da 2.4 a 2.6 GHz. Gli attuali giochi molto pesanti come Supreme Commander possono essere limitati dalle prestazioni della CPU. I giocatori esigenti potrebbero scegliere una Core 2 Duo con un clock superiore (o una Core i5 / i7).

La P8400 usa un core Penryn (Montevina Update) che sfrutta 2 unità integer, 1 unità floating point, 1 unità load, ed 1 unità store in una pipeline 14-stages. Grazie alla tecnologia Wide Dynamic Execution, il core è in grado di eseguire contemporaneamente fino a quattro istruzioni.

L'Enhanced Speedstep integrato è in grado di effettuare il downclock del core dinamicamente fino a 800 MHz per risparmiare energia (in modalità di riposo).

La Core 2 Duo P8400 può essere usata in un Socket P a 479 pins: Socket P / Micro Flip-Chip Pin Grid Array (Micro-FCPGA) richiede una superficie 479-pin mount Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket (mPGA479M socket) o una Micro Flip-Chip Ball Grid Array (Micro-FCBGA) per una superfice mount (479-ball)

Recensione Dell Latitude E6400 Notebook

Sicurezza, mobilità e affidabilità. Questi sono i tre pilastri su cui si basa il Dell Latitude E6400. Anche se è disponibile una soluzione grafica efficiente (Quadro NVS 160M), il portatile si concentra soprattutto sui pilastri fondamentali, cercando di avere anche un buon prezzo di partenza. Mobile tutto fare. Il nuovo Samsung R560 - Aura P8400 Madril è un tutto fare. Non importa che sia un "semplice" lavoro di ufficio o una intensa prestazione multimedia o ancor un gioco - con questo notebook avete molte possibilità. Al momento ci sono due versioni dell'R560 - sul mercato. Da un lato l'R560 - Aura P7350 Maloz e dall'altro il già menzionato Samsung R560 - Aura P8400 Madril.

Sony Vaio VGN-FW11M Notebook: Recension

Centrino 2 Kino. Il Sony Vario FW11M è uno dei modelli low pricee offre pertanto solo un drive blu ray ROM (con lettura, senza scrittura) e dispositivi hardware non superlativi.
