AMD A4-3300M

L'AMD A4-3300M (nome in codice Llano) è un processore dual-core per portatili di fascia bassa. Fa parte della famiglia di APUs Fusion (=Accelerated Processing Units) e sfrutta una scheda grafica integrata Radeon HD 6480G. Il core del processore ha un clock da 1.9 GHz di velocità base ed è in grado di effettuare un overclock automatico fino a 2.5 GHz (TurboCore, in base alle temperature ed ai cores utilizzati).

Il core del processore si basa sulla famiglia Husky 12h. Rispetto ai processori più vecchi Phenom II mobile, il core Husky è molto simile ma sfrutta un divider hardware addizionale. Tuttavia, le prestazioni per clock dovrebbero essere simili ai vecchi processori mobile Turion II, Athlon II, Phenom II (come l'APU Llano questi non sfruttano la Level 3 cache).

Le prestazioni del processore dovrebbero essere paragonabili al precedente AMD Athlon II M320. Grazie al TurboCore le prestazioni single threaded dovrebbero essere leggermente migliori e quelle multithread leggermente inferiori. Di conseguenza, le prestazioni sono nettamente peggiori rispetto ai processori Sandy Bridge con clock simile (i.e. Core i3-2310M).

Le APUs Llano sfruttano una scheda grafica integrata che può gestire DirectX 11 con un massimo di 400 cores. La versione AMD Radeon HD 6480G della serie A4 tuttavia offre solo 240 cores a 444MHz. Non c'è memoria dedicata e non è in grado di utilizzare la cache integrata (diversamente dalla Intel HD 3000). Inoltre la APU sfrutta anche un processore video integrato UVD3 per effettuare la piena decodifica di videos HD maggiormente utilizzati (come H.264, VC-1, MPEG4).

La A4-3300M sfrutta anche un controller di memoria integrato dual-channel con supporto per memoria DDR3(L)-1333 ed un controller PCIe 2.0.

Il TDP da 35 Watt per l'APU (incluse scheda grafica e controller di memoria) la rende adatta per portatili da 14 a 15 pollici.
