Intel Ultra 7 255HX

L'Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX è una CPU mobile di fascia alta per notebook da gioco basata sull'architettura Arrow Lake. Offre 20 core, composti da 8 core ad alte prestazioni con velocità di clock fino a 5,2 GHz e 12 dei 16 core ad alta efficienza con velocità di clock fino a 4,5 GHz. La CPU ha accesso a 30 MB di cache L2 e 36 MB di cache L3 ed è specificata con un TDP di 55 watt.

Il SoC integra una piccola NPU dedicata chiamata AI Boost con 13 TOPS (Int8) e supporta opzionalmente vPro Essentials. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta fino a 192 GB DDR5-6400 (doppio canale, ECC opzionale). La GPU integrata (iGPU) è una piccola scheda grafica Intel Graphics con quattro core Xe che funzionano a 300 - 1850 MHz.

Prestazioni - High End

Grazie al miglioramento dell'IPC dei core (in particolare dei core di efficienza), la CPU dovrebbe avere prestazioni appena inferiori o al livello del Raptor Lake Core i9-14700HX (8 + 12 core, max 5,5 / 3,9 GHz). Ciò rende la CPU ideale per le attività più impegnative, come i giochi di fascia alta e la creazione di contenuti.

Produzione - TSMC e Foveros

I chip Arrow Lake-HX si basano sui chip Arrow Lake-S per desktop e sono composti da diversi chiplet. La parte CPU è prodotta presso TSMC nel moderno processo N3B (3nm), mentre la GPU proviene anch'essa da TSMC nel processo N5P. Il SoC e il tile I/O sono prodotti nel processo TSMC N6. Il tile di base è prodotto da Intel nel processo a 22 nm e trasporta i singoli chiplet grazie al packaging 3D di Fovero.
