Intel i9-10885H

L'Intel Core i9-10885H è un processore di fascia alta per computer portatili con otto core basato sull'architettura Comet Lake (CML-H, quarta generazione di Skylake). Il processore ha un clock tra 2,4 e 5,3 GHz e può eseguire fino a sedici threads simultaneamente grazie all'Hyper-Threading. Il processore è ancora prodotto nel vecchio processo a 14nm (14nm++).

L'architettura Comet Lake è simile a Coffee Lake e offre le stesse caratteristiche ed è prodotta nello stesso processo a 14nm. Oltre alle frequenze di clock migliorate, il controller di memoria ora supporta anche RAM DDR4-2933 più veloci. Il Core i9-10855H supporta le funzioni di gestione vPro, TXT e SIPP. 

Prestazioni

Le prestazioni del Core i9-10885H dovrebbero essere leggermente superiori al vecchio modello di punta Core i9-9980HK, grazie al potenziale maggiore turbo single core. Grazie agli 8 core e alle alte velocità Turbo, anche le applicazioni esigenti dovrebbero girare molto bene sulla CPU. Tuttavia, le prestazioni a lungo termine dipendono sempre dal sistema di raffreddamento del portatile e dalla configurazione del sistema. Al momento dell'annuncio, l'i9-10885H è la seconda CPU Comet Lake-H più veloce dietro al Core i9-10980HK.

Grafica

L'iGPU integrata Intel UHD Graphics 630 dovrebbe offrire prestazioni simili alla UHD630 del Core i7-9880H. Come soluzione di fascia bassa, eseguirà solo i giochi attuali senza problemi a dettagli ridotti - se mai lo farà.

Consumo energetico

Intel specifica il TDP con 45 watts e quindi l'i9 è adatto solo a grandi portatili con buone soluzioni di raffreddamento. Usando cTDP-down, la CPU può anche essere configurata a 35 Watt con conseguente riduzione delle prestazioni.
