Intel Core i9-10900K
L'Intel Core i9-10900K è un processore di fascia alta per desktop con dieci core basati sull'architettura Comet Lake (CML-S, quarta generazione di Skylake). Il processore si blocca tra i 3,7 e i 5,3 GHz (tutti i 10 core fino a 4,8 GHz) e può eseguire fino a venti thread contemporaneamente grazie all'Hyper-Threading. I 5,3 GHz possono essere raggiunti solo al di sotto dei 70°C di temperatura del core (Thermal Velocity Boost di 100 MHz).
Il processore è ancora prodotto nel vecchio processore a 14nm (14nm++). Rispetto al predecessore, il Core i9-9900K, il 10900K offre una maggiore velocità di clock ed altri due core. Grazie al moltiplicatore libero, la CPU può anche essere facilmente overcloccata (ma potrebbe non avere molto spazio di testa).
L'architettura Comet Lake è simile a quella di Coffee Lake e offre le stesse caratteristiche ed è prodotta nello stesso processo a 14 nm. Oltre alle velocità di clock migliorate, il controller di memoria ora supporta anche la RAM DDR4-2933 più veloce. Grazie all'elevato Turbo Boost, la CPU è la CPU da gioco più veloce disponibile al momento dell'annuncio. Utilizzando tutti i core, l'i9 è però più lento delle CPU Ryzen superiori (come la Ryzen 9 3950X) che offrono più core.
L'iGPU integrata Intel UHD Graphics 630 iGPU UHD 630 dovrebbe offrire prestazioni simili a quelle dell'UHD630 nel Core i7-9900K. Come soluzione di fascia bassa, funzionerà senza problemi con i giochi attuali solo con dettagli ridotti, se non addirittura con dettagli ridotti.
Intel specifica il TDP con 125 Watt (PL1) ma a pieno carico vengono consumati fino a 250 Watt (PL2). In modalità predefinita questi 250 Watt e quindi alte velocità di clock possono essere mantenute fino a 56 secondi, tuttavia tutte le schede offrono la possibilità di modificare queste impostazioni.
