Intel i9-9900KS

L'Intel Core i9-9900KS è un processore desktop di fascia alta che include 8 core basati sull'architettura di Coffee Lake. È la più veloce CPU di Coffee Lake del 2019 e rispetto all'analogo i9-9900K denominato i9-9900K, il KS offre un Turbo all core di 5 GHz. Tutti i core possono clockare tra 4 GHz e 5 GHz e grazie all'Hyperthreading / SMT 16 thread possono essere eseguiti in parallelo. La CPU è ancora prodotta nel processo maturo a 14 nm (14nm++). Grazie al moltiplicatore aperto, la CPU è piuttosto facile da overcloccare (se si utilizza una scheda madre basata su Z390).

Con un buon raffreddamento, l'i9-9900KS può essere circa il 10% più veloce del vecchio Intel Core i9-9900K (grazie al 5 GHz all core Turbo). Rispetto al vecchio Core i7-8700K, il 9900KS è ancora più veloce del 45%. Soprattutto per i giochi, il 9900KS è attualmente l'opzione più veloce disponibile. Le veloci CPU Ryzen e Threadripper di AMD offrono tuttavia una migliore prestazione multithreaded.

La GPU integrata è chiamata Intel UHD Graphics 630 e orologi con fino a 1,2 GHz. Non è adatta per giochi 3D impegnativi e si trova nella fascia bassa.

Il TDP è portato a 127 Watt per le prestazioni aggiuntive, quindi è necessario un buon refrigeratore della CPU. Quando si esegue l'overclocking della CPU, si possono raggiungere più di 200 Watt senza carico.
