Intel i7-12700F

L'Intel Core i7-12700F è un processore desktop di fascia alta basato sull'architettura Alder Lake. È stato annunciato per la prima volta nel novembre 2021 e offre 8 core per le prestazioni e 4 core per l'efficienza. I core ad alte prestazioni (P-cores) supportano l'HyperThreading, che porta a 20 thread che possono essere elaborati contemporaneamente. I core ad alte prestazioni possono raggiungere una frequenza di 4,9 GHz (Turbo Boost Max 3.0, base 2.1), mentre i core di efficienza possono raggiungere una frequenza di 3,6 GHz (base 1,6 GHz). Tutti i core possono utilizzare 25 MB di Smart Cache. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta fino a 128 GB di memoria DDR5 a 4800 MT/s (doppio canale).

Il Thread Director (in hardware) può aiutare il sistema operativo a decidere quale thread utilizzare sui core più performanti o efficienti per ottenere le migliori prestazioni.

Per le attività di intelligenza artificiale, il processore dispone anche di GNA 3.0 e DL Boost. La versione 8 di Quick Sync è identica ai processori Rocket Lake e supporta la decodifica MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC e AV1 in hardware.

I modelli desktop della serie F non offrono una scheda grafica integrata.

Il processore ha una potenza di base di 65 watt e una potenza turbo massima di 180 watt. È prodotto con il processo a 10 nm di Intel, noto come Intel 7.
