La Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 è una scheda grafica desktop veloce basata sull'architettura Ampere. Utilizza il grande chip GA104 e offre 5.888 core e 8 GB di memoria grafica GDDR6. 

Le prestazioni nei giochi e la risoluzione 4k sono leggermente inferiori a quelle di un RTX 2080 Ti ma chiaramente più veloci del vecchio RTX 2080 Super. Per la maggior parte dei giochi, le prestazioni sono sufficienti per 4k e il massimo dei dettagli. L'abilitazione del raytracing tuttavia (senza DLSS) porterà ad una performance significativamente inferiore (anche se la performance di RTX è stata chiaramente migliorata rispetto alla serie RTX 2000).

Il chip GA104 è prodotto in 8nm alla Samsung e il consumo energetico dell'RT 3070 è specificato con 220 Watt (RTX 2070 Super - 215 Watt).
