La AMD Radeon RX 6500M è una scheda grafica mobile entry-level basata sul chip Navi 24 (architettura RDNA 2) prodotto nel moderno processo a 6nm. Dispone di 1024 core (16 CUs - compute unit) e 4 GB di veloce memoria grafica GDDR6 collegata con un bus di memoria a 128 Bit. Il chip include anche 16 MB di Infinity Cache. La velocità di clock del gioco è specificata a 2191 MHz. AMD specifica le prestazioni teoriche a 9,97 TFLOPS (mezza precisione +60% vs 6300M) e 4,98 TFLOPS (singola precisione). Il 6500M supporta la tecnologia Smart Access Memory e SmartShift.
Le prestazioni dovrebbero essere simili a quelle di una RTX 3050 mobile (secondo AMD) e quindi più adatte al gaming 1080p con impostazioni elevate.
Il chip Navi 24 è prodotto da TSMC nel moderno processo a 6nm e dovrebbe offrire una buona efficienza energetica. La RX6500M è specificata con un TDP di 50 Watt e quindi è più adatta a normali portatili multimediali.
