AMD Radeon 520
La Radeon 520 è una scheda grafica dedicata entry- level per portatili lanciata nel 2017. AMD dichiara che il chip ha cinque unità compute basate sull'architettura GCN ed ha 2 GB GDDR5 di memoria grafica 64-bit. Il nuovo chip non si basa sull'architettura Polaris del 2016, ma su quella più datata introdotta con la Radeon R5 M230 nel 2014 ed in seguito usata per M330 e M430 / M440 / M445.
A causa dell'elevata velocità clock fino a 1030 MHz, la Radeon 520 dovrebbe essere leggermente più veloce rispetto alla vecchia Radeon R7 M445 (920 MHz, 320 unità shader, GDDR5). Tuttavia, le prestazioni dovrebbero essere paragonabili, il che significa che i giochi pesanti come Dishonored 2, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare o XCOM 2 dovrebbero risultare fluidi. I giochi meno pesanti come Overwatch, Fifa 17 (con una CPU veloce) o Farming Simulator 17, gireranno senza problemi, ma con dettagli bassi o medi. Se si usa la DDR3, le performance dovrebbero essere al livello della Radeon R7 M440 (1021 MHz, 320 unità shader, DDR3).
