L'Intel HD Graphics P630 (GT2) è un'unità grafica integrata, che possiamo trovare su vari processori di workstations Xeon della generazione Kaby Lake. La versione "GT2" della GPU Skylake offre 24 Execution Units (EUs) con clock fino a 1050 MHz (in base al modello di CPU). A causa dell'assenza di memoria grafica dedicata o di cache eDRAM, la P630 accede alla memoria principale (2x 64bit DDR3L-1600 / DDR4-2133). Usa lo stesso silicio della consumer HD Graphics 630 dei processori Kaby-Lake-H ma sfrutta drivers ottimizzati per workstation e software CAD. Stando ad Intel è certificata per 15 applicazioni (guardate la lista).

Performance

Stando ad Intel, le performance della P630 sono identiche al processore grafico Intel HD Graphis P530 (predecessore Skylake) e di 1.94x volte più veloci rispetto alla vecchia Intel HD Graphics P4000. Rispetto alle schede consumer, le prestazioni gaming dovrebbero essere al livello della GeForce 920M dedicata e dovrebbero gestire i giochi datati (del 2015) con settaggi medi o bassi.

Features

Il motore video rivisitato nei chips Kaby Lake ora supporta il profilo H.265/HEVC Main10 ad una profondità di colore da 10-bit ed anche il codec VP9 con l'hardware. Inoltre, è supportato anche l'HDCP 2.2 in tutti i chips, che consente i videos Netflix 4K, ad esempio.

Consumo Energetico

L'HD Graphics P630 possiamo trovarla nei processori mobile quad-core Xeon con TDP da 45 W ed anche sui processori Xeon con TDPs più elevati.
