AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

La AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT è una GPU high-desktop basata sull'architettura RDNA2 e utilizza il chip Navi 21 prodotto a 7nm da TSMC. La GPU ha 4.608 unità shader, così come 16 GB di GDDR6 VRAM con un'interfaccia a 256 bit (16 Gbps, 512 GB/s).

Caratteristiche.

RDNA2 serve come base per il chip grafico Navi 21, che è il successore del chip grafico Navi 10 della precedente serie RX 5700. Una serie di nuove caratteristiche come SAM (Smart Access Memory) e l'Infinity Cache rendono la serie RX 6800 molto interessante. PCI Express 4.0 e RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening) sono ancora disponibili. Il nuovo Media Engine permette di decodificare video fino alla risoluzione 8K, e il nuovo Display Engine supporta schermi fino a 8K a 60Hz incluso HDR o 4K HDR a 144Hz. 

Prestazioni.

Le prestazioni della AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT sono paragonabili a quelle di una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. Nel duello interno, la RX 6800 XT supera chiaramente le prestazioni di una Radeon RX 5700 XT. Questo rende la RX 6800 XT adatta al gioco 4K.

Consumo energetico

Il consumo di energia della AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT è quantificato dal produttore in 300 watt (TGP) ed è quindi un po' più economico della GeForce RTX 3080 (320 watt).
