NVIDIA Quadro P5000
La Nvidia Quadro P5000 è una scheda grafica mobile high-end per workstation. Similmente alla GeForce GTX 1070 (Laptop) consumer, si basa sul chip GP104 con 2048 shaders. La scheda grafica è progettata per la generazione Kaby Lake ed è il successore della Quadro M5000M (Maxwell). Tuttavia, la P5000 monta 16 GB di memoria video GDDR5 (con la banda minima), mentre la GTX 1070 ne ha solo 8 GB. I clock rates variano tra 1164 MHz (base) a 1506 MHz (Boost) e fino a 1657 MHz (max.).
Le GPUs Quadro offrono drivers certificati che sono ottimizzati per stabilità e prestazioni con le applicazioni professionali (CAD, DCC, applicazioni mediche, prospettiva e visualizzazione). Le performance in questi settori sono pertanto nettamente migliori rispetto alle corrispondenti GPUs consumer.
Le performance teoriche dovrebbero essere alla pari con la GTX 1070, quindi la GPU dovrebbe essere nettamente più veloce rispetto alla precedente M5000M. Anche la vecchia M5500M dovrebbe essere superata.
Il consumo energetico della Quadro P5000 è simile alla vecchia Quadro M5000M con TGP da 100 Watts (consumo massimo inclusa la memoria) TDP 73.4 W secondo Nvidia. La scheda è pertanto adatta per grandi portatili da 17".
