AMD Radeon RX Vega 11
L'AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 è una GPU integrata nelle APUs desktop Ryzen (ad esempio Ryzen 5 2400G) lanciate all'inizio del 2018. La scheda grafica è basata sull'architettura Vega (GCN di quinta generazione) e ha tutte le 11 CUs (= 704 shader) con clock fino a 1240 MHz (Ryzen 5 2400G). La GPU beneficia di una veloce RAM dual-channel DDR4-2400 (contrariamente alla DDR4-2133 monocanale, che è anche possibile usare).
L'architettura Vega offre alcuni miglioramenti rispetto alla generazione Polaris e ora supporta DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1. Maggiori informazioni sono disponibili nel nostro articolo dedicato all'architettura Raven Ridge.
Secondo un primo 3DMark Fire Strike pubblicato da AMD, il Vega 11 offre prestazioni teoriche simili a quelle della vecchia Radeon R9 M280X dedicata. Nei giochi la memoria grafica dedicata mancante può tuttavia rivelarsi un collo di bottiglia. Pertanto, i giochi moderni ed esigenti saranno giocabili solo nelle impostazioni più basse e l'APU è per lo più destinata a giochi meno impegnativi come Overwatch, Dota 2, ...
Grazie al processo da 14 nm e alle intelligenti funzioni di risparmio energetico, il consumo energetico è relativamente basso. L'elevato TDP di 65 Watt dell'APU dovrebbe tuttavia portare ad un consumo energetico molto più elevato rispetto alle APUs mobili con TDP da 15 Watt.
