NVIDIA T1200 Laptop GPU
La GPU Nvidia T1200 Laptop (o Quadro T1200 per i portatili) è una scheda grafica mobile professionale basata sull'architettura Turing (chip TU117). Rispetto alla consumer GTX 1650 Ti, la Quadro T1000 ha meno core CUDA / shader (768 contro 896). La Quadro T2000 utilizza lo stesso chip TU117, ma dispone di tutti i 1024 core (2x alla T1000) ed è quindi significativamente più veloce. Il chip è prodotto in 12nm FinFET presso TSMC. La T1200 è stata introdotta come aggiornamento della Quadro T1000 insieme alle nuove schede per workstation Ampere RTX A come la più veloce Nvidia RTX A2000.
È disponibile in diverse varianti da 35 a 95 Watt (TGP) con diverse velocità di clock (e prestazioni). La GPU supporta DisplayPort 1.4 e HDMI 2.1 per le connessioni esterne.
Non c'è più la variante Max-Q (precedentemente utilizzata per le varianti a bassa potenza) ma ogni OEM può scegliere di implementare le tecnologie Max-Q 3.0 (Dynamic Boost, WhisperMode).
La generazione Turing non ha solo introdotto il raytracing per le schede RTX, ma ha anche ottimizzato l'architettura dei core e delle cache. Secondo Nvidia i core CUDA offrono ora un'esecuzione simultanea di operazioni in virgola mobile e intere per aumentare le prestazioni nei carichi di lavoro pesanti dei giochi moderni.
Inoltre, le cache sono state rielaborate (nuova architettura di memoria unificata con il doppio della cache rispetto al Pascal). Questo porta fino al 50% in più di istruzioni per clock e un utilizzo più efficiente del 40% rispetto al Pascal. Al contrario delle schede Quadro RTX più veloci, le T1000 e T2000 non dispongono di raytracing e core Tensor.
Quando è configurata come variante lenta da 35W, la T1200 è anche adatta a computer portatili sottili e leggeri.
