AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

Ryzen 5 9600X è una CPU desktop di fascia media della famiglia di prodotti Granite Ridge, con 6 core Zen 5 (12 thread) che funzionano da 3,9 GHz a 5,4 GHz, supporto PCIe 5 e iGPU di base un'iGPU di base. Ryzen è stato lanciato a giugno 2024, con inizio delle vendite previsto per luglio.

Architettura e caratteristiche

Come le APU Strix Point, i processori Granite Ridge utilizzano la nuova microarchitettura Zen 5. Tuttavia, non ci sono core efficienti. Tuttavia, qui non ci sono core efficienti; tutti i core del 9600X sono core Zen 5 completi. Inoltre, Granite Ridge è un design multi-die con solo i core della CPU prodotti utilizzando un processo TSMC a 4 nm abbastanza moderno. Da quello che sappiamo, i processori Strix Point hanno un design single-die.

Secondo AMD, Zen 5 offre un miglioramento dell'IPC del 16% rispetto a Zen 4, grazie a miglioramenti nella predizione dei rami e ad altri perfezionamenti.

Altrove, la 9600X ha 32 MB di cache L3 e 24 corsie PCIe 5 dirette (3,93 GB/s di throughput per corsia) con fino a 12 corsie PCIe 4 aggiuntive disponibili a seconda della scheda madre. Supporta la RAM DDR5 con una velocità di 5600 MT/s, inclusa la memoria ECC - anche questo dipende dalla scheda madre.

Il 9600X è sbloccato per l'overclocking. Naturalmente, la CPU con socket AM5 supporta pienamente Windows 11, Windows 10 a 64 bit e molte distro Linux.

Prestazioni

Secondo i primi di luglio fughe di notizieil 9600X offre circa le stesse prestazioni multi-thread dell'octa-core AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D che è davvero impressionante se si considera la differenza di prezzo. Aggiorneremo sicuramente questa sezione una volta che avremo messo le mani su un sistema alimentato dalla 9600X.

Grafica

La 2 CU Radeon Graphics è dotata di soli 128 shader unificati che funzionano fino a 2.200 MHz. La nuova architettura RDNA 3+ significa che questa piccola iGPU è completamente abilitata alle DX12 Ultimate, con ray tracing e altre tecnologie moderne tutte presenti; tuttavia 128 shader non sono nulla a partire dalla metà del 2024, il che significa che le sue prestazioni di gioco saranno estremamente basse.

Detto questo, la Radeon Graphics permetterà di utilizzare 3 (molto probabilmente 4) monitor SUHD 4320p contemporaneamente e supporta anche la codifica e la decodifica hardware dei codec video più diffusi, tra cui AVC, HEVC, VP9 e AV1. VVC non è supportato, a differenza di Lunar Lake.

Consumo di energia

I core della CPU sono costruiti con un processo TSMC a 4 nm per una buona, a partire dalla metà del 2024, efficienza energetica. (Apple è il leader in questo senso con il processo a 3 nm di seconda generazione)

Il TDP a lungo termine di Ryzen 5 è di 65 W. Probabilmente consumerà almeno 100 W in caso di carichi pesanti a breve termine. In caso di overclock, le cifre del consumo energetico aumenteranno in modo significativo.
