Intel i7-1270P

L'Intel Core i7-1270P è una CPU di fascia alta della famiglia Alder Lake-P, una parte costosa da 28 W destinata ad essere utilizzata in computer portatili ultraleggeri e ultrasottili. Questa CPU è stata annunciata all'inizio del 2022 e ha 4 core performanti rispetto ai 6 core del top di gamma 1280P (P-cores, architettura Golden Cove) abbinati a 8 core efficienti (E-cores, architettura Gracemont). I P-cores sono abilitati all'Hyper-Threading per un totale di 16 threads quando combinati con gli E-cores. Le velocità di clock vanno da 2,2 GHz a 4,8 GHz sul cluster performante e da 1,6 GHz a 3,5 GHz sul cluster efficiente. Il set completo di funzionalità vPro è supportato da questo Core i7 (livello "Enterprise", che permette la gestione remota). Le sue carenze rispetto al potente i7-1280P includono una cache L3 più piccola, un numero inferiore di core, una velocità di clock inferiore; le prestazioni sono destinate ad essere significativamente inferiori come risultato.

Architettura

Le prestazioni di un E-core dovrebbero essere simili a quelle di un core Skylake (come si trova nel Core i7-6700HQ tra le altre opzioni), vecchio di sei anni a questo punto. Tutti i core della CPU Intel Core i7-1270P hanno accesso a 18 MB di cache L3. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta vari tipi di memoria fino a LPDDR5-5200, DDR5-4800, LPDDR4x-4267 o DDR4-3200. Intel suggerisce di usare non più di 64 GB, come riferimento. Proprio come gli altri processori Alder Lake, Core i7-1270P viene fornito con Thread Director che è una nuova funzionalità progettata per aiutare Windows 11 a decidere quali core utilizzare per quali carichi di lavoro per le migliori prestazioni ed efficienza possibili. L'accelerazione hardware degli algoritmi AI è supportata tramite GNA 3.0 e DL Boost (tramite AVX2). Il supporto PCI-Express 5.0 non ha trovato la sua strada nei processori Alder Lake di livello laptop, quindi gli utenti dovranno accontentarsi di PCI-Express 4.0 per il momento.

Si prega di notare che questa non è una CPU sostituibile dall'utente. Viene saldata permanentemente sulla scheda madre (interfaccia socket BGA1744).

Prestazioni

Ci aspettiamo che i 12 core della CPU superino facilmente qualsiasi parte quad-core Tiger Lake da 35 W in uscita (come il Core i7-11375H), battendo anche la maggior parte delle opzioni AMD Ryzen 4000 e Ryzen 5000 a 6 e 8 core per laptop. Un breve sguardo alle specifiche rivela immediatamente che il Core i7-1270P è molto simile al Core i5-12600H da 45 watt; detto questo, il primo è una CPU per sistemi ultraportatili mentre il secondo è destinato a far parte di un grosso portatile da gioco o di una workstation portatile, e quindi un portatile alimentato dal 12600H è probabile che sia molto superiore in tutto tranne che per carichi single-core o a breve termine. La sostenibilità delle prestazioni di un 1270P è probabilmente legata a quanto alto sia il Power Limits e quanto buone siano le termiche di un sistema. Tuttavia, le cifre delle prestazioni per thread di questa CPU sono destinate a schiacciare ciò che Tiger Lake, Ice Lake e Comet Lake hanno in serbo.

Grafica

L'adattatore grafico incorporato sotto forma di 96 EU Iris Xe che funziona fino a 1,40 GHz non ha visto alcun cambiamento rispetto a quello che è stato incorporato nei processori Tiger Lake-UP3 di 11a generazione come l'i7-1165G7, il che non è certo un aspetto negativo in quanto questa iGPU è caricata con caratteristiche moderne come la capacità di decodifica video AV1 e il supporto monitor SUHD 4320p. Fino a due 4 monitor possono essere usati simultaneamente. Ci aspettiamo che le prestazioni di gioco siano ragionevolmente vicine a quelle della MX450 di NVIDIA o in altre parole, buone per la maggior parte dei giochi a risoluzione 1080p / impostazioni medie, a condizione che i limiti di potenza siano abbastanza alti e la soluzione di raffreddamento sia abbastanza buona. La RAM veloce è un prerequisito per prestazioni decenti, dato che l'Iris Xe deve accontentarsi di nessuna memoria video dedicata.

Consumo energetico

La potenza di base dell'i7 (precedentemente conosciuta come il valore TDP di default o PL1) è di 28 W con 64 W che è la sua potenza Turbo (conosciuta anche come PL2). Il Core i7-1270P è prodotto sul processo Intel di terza generazione a 10 nm commercializzato come Intel 7 per un'efficienza energetica OK.
