Intel i5-1250P

L'Intel Core i5-1250P è un SoC di fascia media della famiglia Alder Lake-P progettato per essere usato in computer portatili ultraleggeri e ultrasottili. È stato annunciato all'inizio del 2022 e ha 4 core di prestazioni, in contrasto con i 6 core del top di gamma i7-1280P (P-cores, architettura Golden Cove) accoppiati con 8 core efficienti (E-cores, architettura Gracemont). I P-cores dell'i5 sono abilitati Hyper-Threading per un totale di 16 threads quando combinati con i suoi E-cores. Le velocità di clock vanno da 1,7 GHz a 4,4 GHz sul cluster di prestazioni e da 1,2 GHz a 3,3 GHz sul cluster efficiente. I difetti di questo processore rispetto al Core i5-1260P includono la cache L3 più piccola, il modello iGPU più lento, le velocità di clock inferiori. Il set completo di funzionalità vPro è abilitato nel caso di questo i5, però (tier "Enterprise", che permette la gestione remota).

Architettura

Un E-core dovrebbe essere veloce come un core Skylake (come si trova nel Core i7-6700HQ tra le altre opzioni), vecchio di sei anni a questo punto. Tutti i core della CPU Core i5-1250P hanno accesso a 12 MB di cache L3. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta vari tipi di memoria fino a LPDDR5-5200, DDR5-4800, LPDDR4x-4267 o DDR4-3200; Intel raccomanda di utilizzare non più di 64 GB, per riferimento. Proprio come gli altri processori Alder Lake, questo Core i5 viene fornito con il Thread Director che è una nuova funzionalità progettata per aiutare Windows 11 a decidere quali core utilizzare per quali carichi di lavoro per le migliori prestazioni ed efficienza possibili. L'accelerazione hardware degli algoritmi AI è supportata tramite GNA 3.0 e DL Boost (tramite AVX2). L'allettante e veloce specifica PCI-Express 5.0 non ha trovato la sua strada nei processori Alder Lake di livello laptop, quindi gli utenti dovranno accontentarsi di PCI-Express 4.0 per il momento.

Si prega di notare che questa non è una CPU sostituibile dall'utente. Viene saldata permanentemente sulla scheda madre (interfaccia socket FCBGA1744).

Prestazioni

Ci aspettiamo che i 12 core della CPU siano in grado di superare qualsiasi parte quad-core Tiger Lake da 28 W in uscita (come il Core i5-1145G7), battendo anche molte delle opzioni AMD Ryzen 4000 e Ryzen 5000 a 6 e 8 core per laptop che girano a velocità di clock simili a quelle che può offrire un 1250P. La sostenibilità delle prestazioni della CPU è probabilmente legata a quanto sono alti i limiti di potenza e quanto è buona la soluzione di raffreddamento di un sistema e quindi un portatile basato sul 1250P è probabile che rimanga indietro rispetto alla maggior parte delle CPU Intel di 12a generazione serie H. Tuttavia, le prestazioni per thread di questa CPU sono garantite per superare comodamente molte CPU Tiger Lake di 11a generazione grazie ai notevoli miglioramenti architettonici apportati dai core Golden Cove.

Grafica

L'adattatore grafico integrato sotto forma di Iris Xe 80 EU che funziona fino a 1,4 GHz ha visto pochi cambiamenti rispetto a quello che era incorporato nei processori Tiger Lake-UP3 di 11a generazione come l'i5-1135G7, il che non è certo un aspetto negativo, dato che questa iGPU è caricata con caratteristiche moderne come la capacità di decodifica video AV1 e il supporto per monitor SUHD 4320p. L'Xe non è estraneo a un po' di casual gaming; detto questo, il vostro chilometraggio può variare a seconda di quanto siano alti i limiti di potenza e quanto sia capace la soluzione di raffreddamento di un portatile. Aspettatevi qualcosa vicino all'MX250 di NVIDIA o in altre parole, framerate accettabili nella maggior parte dei giochi quando si gioca a 1080p / impostazioni basse. La RAM veloce è un prerequisito per prestazioni decenti, dato che l'Xe deve accontentarsi di nessuna memoria video dedicata.

Consumo energetico

La potenza di base dell'i5 (nota anche come valore TDP di default o PL1) è di 28 W; la sua potenza Turbo (nota anche come PL2) è di 64 W. Questo processore è prodotto sul processo Intel di terza generazione a 10 nm commercializzato come Intel 7 per un'efficienza energetica OK.
