AMD R5 4680U

L'AMD Ryzen 5 4680U è un processore per portatili sottili e leggeri basato sull'architettura Renoir. Il 4680U integra sei core basati sulla microarchitettura Zen 2. Sono clockati a 2.1 (clock di base garantito) a 4 GHz (Turbo) con supporto SMT / Hyperthreading (12 threads). Il chip è prodotto nel moderno processo a 7 nm presso TSMC e in parte grazie ad esso AMD pubblicizza un miglioramento di 2 volte delle prestazioni per Watt per i chip Renoir. Rispetto al vecchio Ryzen 5 4600U, il 4680U sembra identico.

Con due core in meno, il Ryzen 5 4600U è chiaramente più lento del Ryzen 7 4980U nei carichi di lavoro multi threaded. Tuttavia, dovrebbe ancora battere il più veloce Intel Core i7-1065G7 Ice Lake da 15 Watt (4 core, 3,9 GHz). Grazie al Boost clock a 4 GHz, le prestazioni single core dovrebbero essere simili. Pertanto, il Ryzen 5 4680U è una CPU da 15 Watt molto veloce e chiaramente più veloce del vecchio Ryzen 7 3700U.

Oltre ai sei core della CPU, l'APU integra anche una scheda grafica integrata Radeon RX Vega 6 con 6 CU e fino a 1500 MHz? Il controller di memoria a doppio canale supporta RAM DDR4-3200 e LPDDR4-4266 ad alta efficienza energetica. Inoltre, 8 MB di cache di livello 3 si trovano sul chip. Il TDP dell'APU è specificato a 15 Watt (default) e può essere configurato da 10 a 25 Watt dal venditore del portatile. Ciò significa che il chip è destinato a computer portatili sottili e leggeri (ma con ventole).
