Intel Core i7-1355U
L'Intel Core i7-1355U è una CPU mobile di fascia alta per computer portatili sottili e leggeri, basata sull'architettura Alder Lake (serie Raptor Lake-U / RPL-U). È stata annunciata all'inizio del 2023 e offre 2 core ad alte prestazioni (core P, architettura Golden Cove) e 8 core efficienti (core E, architettura Gracemont). I core P supportano l'Hyper-Threading, che porta a 12 thread supportati quando vengono combinati con i core E-. La frequenza di clock varia da 1,7 a 5 GHz sul cluster ad alte prestazioni e da 1,2 a 3,7 GHz sul cluster efficiente. Le prestazioni degli E-cores dovrebbero essere simili a quelle dei vecchi core Skylake (si confronti con il Core i7-6700HQ ). Tutti i core possono utilizzare fino a 12 MB di cache L3. La CPU supporta le funzioni di gestione vPro "Essentials" . Rispetto alla serie P (28W) o alla serie H (45W), il TDP di 15W può limitare le prestazioni sostenute.
Prestazioni
Grazie all'elevata velocità di clock, il Core i7-1355U dovrebbe avere prestazioni leggermente migliori rispetto al vecchio Core i7-1265U (fino a 4,8 GHz). Gli i7 più veloci, come i modelli i7-1365U, offrono solo velocità di clock più elevate (e una iGPU più veloce).
Architettura
Il controller di memoria integrato supporta vari tipi di memoria fino a LPDDR5-6400. Il Thread Director (in hardware) può supportare il sistema operativo a decidere quale thread utilizzare sui core più performanti o efficienti per ottenere le migliori prestazioni. Per i compiti AI, la CPU integra anche GNA 3.0 e DL Boost (tramite AVX2). Quick Sync nella versione 8 è lo stesso delle CPU Rocket Lake e supporta MPEG-2, AVC, decodifica VC-1, JPEG, decodifica VP8, VP9, HEVC e AV1 in hardware. La CPU supporta ancora solo PCIe 4.0 x8 per una GPU e due PCIe 4.0 x4 per SSD.
La scheda grafica integrata si basa sull'architettura Xe e offre tutte le 96 EU (Execution Unit) che funzionano fino a 1,3 GHz.
Consumo energetico
Questa CPU Core i7 ha un TDP di 15W (potenza di base, PL1) e una potenza turbo massima di 55W (PL2). I processori RPL-U sono costruiti in un processo Intel 7 ulteriormente migliorato (10nm SuperFin) che consente velocità di clock più elevate.
