Intel Core i5-12450H
L'Intel Core i5-12450H è una CPU mobile di fascia alta per computer portatili basata sull'architettura Alder Lake. È stata annunciata all'inizio del 2022 e offre 4 dei 6 core ad alte prestazioni (P-cores, architettura Golden Cove) e 4 degli 8 core efficienti (E-cores, architettura Gracemont), per un totale di 8 core (CPU octa core). I core P supportano l'Hyper-Threading, il che porta a 12 thread supportati quando vengono combinati con i core E-. La frequenza di clock varia da 2 a 4,4 GHz sul cluster ad alte prestazioni e da 1,5 a 3,3 GHz sul cluster efficiente. Le prestazioni degli E-cores dovrebbero essere simili a quelle dei vecchi core Skylake (si confronti con il Core i7-6700HQ ). Tutti i core possono utilizzare fino a 12 MB di cache L3. Rispetto al 12500H il 12450H offre meno core E, velocità di clock inferiori, una iGPU più lenta e nessun supporto vPro.
Prestazioni
La media del 12450H nel nostro ampio database è un po' una delusione: i suoi punteggi nei benchmark multi-thread corrispondono appena a quelli del Ryzen 7 5700U e del Core i7-10750H entrambi chip piuttosto vecchi, a partire dal secondo trimestre del 2023.
Il suo chilometraggio può variare a seconda dei limiti di potenza della CPU e della competenza della soluzione di raffreddamento del suo sistema.
Caratteristiche
Il controller di memoria integrato supporta vari tipi di memoria fino a DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 e LPDDR4x-4267. Il Thread Director (in hardware) può supportare il sistema operativo a decidere quale thread utilizzare sui core più performanti o efficienti per ottenere le migliori prestazioni. Per i compiti AI, la CPU integra anche GNA 3.0 e DL Boost (tramite AVX2). Quick Sync nella versione 8 è lo stesso delle CPU Rocket Lake e supporta la decodifica MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC e AV1 in hardware. La CPU supporta solo PCIe 4.0 (x8 per una GPU e due x4 per le SSD).
L'adattatore grafico integrato si basa sull'architettura Xe e offre 48 delle 96 EU (Execution Unit) che funzionano fino a 1,2 GHz.
La CPU è valutata a 45 W di potenza di base (95 W PL2), ma la maggior parte dei computer portatili utilizzerà un PL1 di circa 60 Watt. Il SoC è prodotto in un processo a 10 nm presso Intel, noto come Intel 7.
