Il Geekom Mini IT12 assomiglia molto ai dispositivi Intel NUC, optando per un design più alto che consente l'installazione di un supporto dati da 2,5 pollici. A differenza delle precedenti varianti "piccole" e "alte" di Intel, il Mini IT12 misura 4,6 × 4,4 pollici, riducendo al minimo lo spazio sulla scrivania. L'alloggiamento di colore turchese emana un aspetto di alta qualità senza la vulnerabilità delle superfici laccate al pianoforte sensibili ai graffi. Geekom ha incorporato un moderno modulo Wi-Fi 6E-AX211 di Intel nel Mini IT12. I risultati dei test indicano che le prestazioni non soddisfano gli standard previsti. Manutenzione

Se desidera accedere ai componenti interni del dispositivo, deve prima rimuovere la piastra di base. Si tratta di una procedura semplice: le viti che tengono il coperchio attaccato all'alloggiamento si trovano sotto i quattro piedini di gomma. Una volta rimosso, può accedere facilmente ai componenti installati, come la RAM, l'SSD o il modulo WLAN. Geekom Mini IT12 dispone anche di uno slot M.2 aggiuntivo per installare un dispositivo di archiviazione di massa supplementare. Inoltre, ha lo spazio per ospitare un dispositivo di archiviazione di massa da 2,5 pollici. Il dispositivo può essere ulteriormente smontato se necessario, per consentire la pulizia della ventola o l'applicazione di nuova pasta termica.

Prestazioni - Alder Lake-H con core P ed E

Anche se non è una delle versioni più recenti, Geekom Mini IT12 offre un SoC affidabile con l'Intel Core i5-12450H. Tuttavia, la CPU, che ha 8 core e 12 thread, dovrebbe affrontare con facilità i carichi di lavoro più impegnativi. Vale la pena ricordare che il Geekom Mini IT12 è disponibile anche con un processore Intel Core i7-12650H.

Condizioni del test

Abbiamo condotto tutti i test sulle prestazioni utilizzando il profilo energetico bilanciato. Non abbiamo alterato le prestazioni del SoC e lo abbiamo mantenuto nello stato predefinito secondo le impostazioni del BIOS.

Processore

Geekom ha equipaggiato il Mini IT12 con un Intel Core i5-12450H questo processore della serie H di Alder Lake. Questa CPU della serie Alder Lake H viene utilizzata anche nel modello Minisforum Serie Venus UN1245 e nel NiPoGi CK10. Dispositivi di archiviazione

Geekom ha equipaggiato il Mini IT12 con una nota SSD NVMe da 512 GB di Kingston, un modello che abbiamo visto in azione in altri sistemi. Questa SSD utilizza l'interfaccia NVMe, è dotata di memoria QLC ed è collegata con PCIe 4.0x4. Tuttavia, nel test, l'SSD rimane indietro rispetto ai suoi concorrenti, in quanto alcuni di essi sono dotati di SSD molto più veloci. Tuttavia, nell'uso quotidiano, non si dovrebbe notare una riduzione delle prestazioni. Le velocità di scrittura e lettura sono abbastanza veloci e l'installazione dei programmi di test è stata completata rapidamente. Grazie al raffreddamento passivo tramite la piastra di base, l'SSD è in grado di sopportare un carico continuo e non abbiamo notato alcun calo delle prestazioni sotto carico. Geekom Mini IT12 può ospitare fino a tre dispositivi di archiviazione di massa, tra cui un altro SSD in formato M.2-2242 e un dispositivo di archiviazione di massa da 2,5 pollici, osservando un'altezza massima di 7 millimetri.

prestazioni 3D tramite eGPU-Dock con Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Poiché Geekom Mini IT12 ha due porte USB 4, confrontiamo le sue prestazioni con quelle di Razer Core X e di una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Con questa combinazione, le prestazioni 3D possono essere notevolmente migliorate. A causa della limitazione della larghezza di banda (PCIe x4 3.0), le prestazioni della scheda grafica dedicata non sono equivalenti a quelle di una macchina desktop tradizionale. Nel test, abbiamo riscontrato che le prestazioni erano paragonabili a quelle di altri Mini PC valutati con gli stessi accessori. In sostanza, questa combinazione funziona meravigliosamente. Rumore del sistema

Il nostro campione di prova di Geekom Mini IT12 non si comporta bene nelle misurazioni del volume. Anche al minimo, abbiamo registrato 36,5 dB(A), che è notevolmente più alto rispetto agli altri. Inoltre, il rumore della ventola è acuto, aumentando ulteriormente la percezione soggettiva del livello di rumore. Sotto carico medio, il livello di pressione sonora aumenta solo minimamente, raggiungendo un picco di 47,5 dB(A). Nel BIOS, gli utenti possono scegliere tra i profili Silenzioso, Auto e Prestazioni, ma questo modifica anche i limiti di potenza del processore. La mancanza di un'opzione per definire i limiti di potenza separatamente dalla velocità della ventola è sconcertante. Si raccomanda a Geekom di risolvere questo problema per ridurre in modo significativo il livello di rumore. Il Geekom Mini IT12 con il processore Intel Core i7-1260P ha mostrato un miglioramento in questo aspetto.

Temperatura

L'involucro del Geekom Mini IT12 si scalda solo leggermente durante il funzionamento in idle, mentre le aree più calde diventano evidenti sotto carico. La temperatura massima durante lo stress test è un innocuo 106,52 °F. L'Intel Core i5-12450H assorbe 35 watt sotto carico continuo, un valore mantenuto costantemente durante lo stress test. Sebbene il SoC raggiunga brevemente i 53 watt all'inizio, con una temperatura massima di 185 °F, sembra che il produttore abbia fissato un limite, poiché la temperatura della CPU si stabilizza a 163,4 °F, al di sotto del limite massimo di potenza di 80 watt in qualsiasi benchmark.

Geekom Mini IT12 si rivela un mini PC affidabile adatto all'uso domestico. Dotato di Intel Core i5-12450H, gestisce senza problemi la maggior parte delle attività quotidiane. Le sue ampie opzioni di connettività lo rendono versatile per varie applicazioni, e accoglie senza problemi le schede grafiche esterne. Nel confronto con la variante Intel Core i7-1260P dello stesso modello, il dispositivo testato non è all'altezza. Mentre, sulla carta, il modello con equipaggiamento simile Minisforum Serie Venus UN1245 e NiPoGi CK10 non sono all'altezza del Geekom Mini IT12, le differenze di prestazioni nel mondo reale sono minime e spesso impercettibili. Il Geekom guadagna un vantaggio significativo nella connettività, grazie alla moderna porta USB 4, una caratteristica che manca ai suoi concorrenti.

Il Geekom Mini IT12 è un cavallo di battaglia compatto con un'ampia applicabilità, potenziata dalla sua eccellente connettività, che supporta anche le schede grafiche esterne.
