Minisforum ha installato un SSD NVMe da 512 GB di Kingston nella Serie Venus UN1245. Minisforum equipaggia anche alcuni dei suoi altri mini PC con questo modello e siamo già rimasti impressionati dalle sue prestazioni nel Minisforum Venus Series NAB6. Nel nostro campione di prova, abbiamo osservato prestazioni migliori, il che significa che l'UN1245 è quasi certamente migliore nei benchmark. Tuttavia, nell'uso quotidiano, le prestazioni dell'SSD sono piuttosto di secondo piano. Tuttavia, accogliamo con favore il passo del produttore verso la scelta di SSD solidi e dalle prestazioni meravigliose, che in precedenza hanno ottenuto buoni risultati. In termini di raffreddamento, Minisforum ha preso una nuova direzione con il modello NAB6installando un radiatore che includeva una piccola ventola. Scheda grafica

L'unità grafica integrata ha la forma di un Intel UHD Graphics con 64 EU. A causa delle prestazioni limitate del SoC, abbiamo osservato prestazioni inferiori rispetto al Minisforum Venus Series NAB6. Fondamentalmente, le prestazioni dell'iGPU sono utili solo per la grafica 2D semplice. L'iGPU è semplicemente troppo debole per la grafica 3D impegnativa. I nuovi modelli Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 sono un po' più potenti, tuttavia sono nettamente inferiori rispetto alle attuali iGPU di AMD, come AMD Radeon 680M o AMD Radeon 780M.

A poco più di 32 dB(A), il sistema è silenzioso ma sempre udibile. Se il dispositivo viene spinto, diventa rapidamente più rumoroso e, a 39,8 dB(A), è decisamente più rumoroso. Il case di Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 si riscalda solo leggermente quando funziona al minimo e sotto carico. I punti caldi termici si trovano solo nell'area delle prese d'aria sul retro del dispositivo.

Poiché Minisforum alimenta l'Intel Core i5-12450H solo con 45 watt, non abbiamo notato valori critici nello stress test. Abbiamo registrato un massimo di 80 °C nel test di stress Prime95. Quando la CPU e l'iGPU sono contemporaneamente sotto stress, la temperatura massima si abbassa leggermente perché il consumo energetico deve essere condiviso. Questo è anche il motivo per cui abbiamo documentato prestazioni 3D inferiori con questo dispositivo di recensione, poiché un raffreddamento più efficace significherebbe che il SoC potrebbe funzionare a 95 watt.

La Serie Minisforum Venus UN1245 è un mini PC senza pretese che si adatta meravigliosamente al lavoro quotidiano in ufficio. Con ilIntel Core i5-12450Hsi ottiene un eccellente SoC che è sia economico che in grado di gestire tutto ciò che gli viene proposto. Purtroppo, il SoC non è all'altezza delle aspettative, poiché il limite di potenza frena le prestazioni multi-core. Certo, da un punto di vista soggettivo, questa limitazione non è particolarmente evidente. A causa della differenza di prezzo rispetto ai dispositivi di qualità superiore della serie Venus, dovrà accontentarsi di una custodia in plastica. Tuttavia, non consideriamo questo aspetto tanto critico quanto il fatto che Minisforum ha dotato la Serie Venus UN1245 di un'unità di raffreddamento molto piccola. Questa è sempre presente e, sotto carico, è persino chiaramente udibile. È in questo ambito che siamo abituati ad altre/migliori opzioni di Minisforum.

Il Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 è uno strumento di lavoro solido con un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo.

A soli 310 dollari, Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 è molto conveniente e questo potrebbe fare la differenza. Naturalmente, non bisogna dimenticare che 310 dollari si riferiscono solo al sistema barebone e il nostro esemplare in prova ha un prezzo di circa 429 dollari. Ma anche questo è ancora molto economico se si tiene conto della potenza.

In termini di opzioni di connettività, solo a una seconda occhiata ci si rende conto che abbiamo a che fare con la versione più economica della serie Venus. Mentre il Minisforum Venus Series NAB6 è ancora dotato di una doppia LAN installata, qui si ottiene solo una presa di rete. Anche la Thunderbolt è assente, cosa che non accadeva con la Minisforum Venus Series NPB5.
