AMD Ryzen AI 7 450

AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 o AI 7 H 450 è un potente processore mobile della famiglia Gorgon Point. L'APU integra 8 core di CPU (4x Zen 5 con un massimo di 5,1 GHz e 4x Zen 5c con meno cache e un massimo di 3,6 GHz). La CPU è identica a quella del vecchio Ryzen AI 7 350 tranne che per la frequenza di clock della CPU superiore di 100 MHz e il supporto per LPDR5-8533.

Architettura e caratteristiche

Le APU della famiglia Gorgon e Krackan Point sono alimentate dai core della microarchitettura Zen 5 e Zen 5c, situati in cluster separati; la seconda è una versione leggermente più lenta, più piccola e più efficiente dal punto di vista energetico della prima. Una delle differenze tra Zen 5 e Zen 5c è la dimensione della cache; i core Zen 5 dispongono di cache più grandi.

Tuttavia, l'implementazione mobile di Zen 5, secondo quanto riportato (ChipsAndCheese) è più vicina allo Zen 4 per desktop che allo Zen 5 per desktop, a causa delle diverse dimensioni della cache, delle grandi differenze nel throughput AVX-512 e di altri fattori.

Altrove, il chip Ryzen AI 7 supporta la RAM LPDDR5x-8533. Il chip è nativamente compatibile con USB 4 (e quindi con Thunderbolt). Ha il supporto PCIe 4.0 per un throughput di 1,9 GB/s per corsia, proprio come i suoi predecessori della serie 8000. La NPU XDNA 2 integrata, molto più complessa rispetto all'XDNA di prima generazione, offre fino a 50 INT8 TOPS per accelerare vari carichi di lavoro AI.

Come di consueto per le CPU dei computer portatili, il chip Ryzen 7 AI non può essere sostituito dall'utente perché è saldato.

Prestazioni

A causa della frequenza di clock solo leggermente più alta, le prestazioni dovrebbero essere solo leggermente superiori a quelle del vecchio Ryzen AI 7 350 ryzen AI 7 350. Rispetto a Intel, le prestazioni dovrebbero essere paragonabili a quelle di un Intel Core i7-13900H dovrebbe essere paragonabile.

Grafica

La Radeon 860M è il diretto successore della Radeon 760M e offre 8 core (CUs = 512 shader) e clock fino a 3,1 GHz.

Consumo energetico

Si dice che l'AI 450 abbia un TDP di base di 28 W, anche se i produttori di laptop sono liberi di impostare il TDP tra 15 e 54 W.

Il processo TSMC a 4 nm con cui sono prodotte queste CPU garantisce un'efficienza energetica superiore alla media.
