AMD R7 4800HS

L'AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS è un SoC mobile per grandi portatili basato sull'architettura Renoir. Il 4800HS integra tutti e otto i cores basati sulla microarchitettura Zen 2. Sono clockati a 2.9 (clock di base garantito) a 4.2 GHz (Turbo) e supportano SMT / Hyperthreading (16 thread). Il chip è prodotto nel moderno processo a 7 nm al TSMC e in parte grazie ad esso AMD pubblicizza un miglioramento di 2x delle prestazioni per Watt per i chip Renoir. Il 4800HS è la versione da 35 Watt (-10 Watt) del Ryzen 7 4800H.

Il Ryzen 7 4800HS dovrebbe offrire prestazioni simili a quelle del Ryzen 7 4800H. Secondo AMD, il Ryzen 7 4800H è il 5% più veloce nel test a filetto singolo Cinebench R20 e il 46% più veloce nel test multifilettato rispetto al Core i7-9750H (grazie ai 2 core aggiuntivi). Questo si traduce in una performance tra un Intel Core i9-9880H e il modello di punta i9-9980HK. I vecchi chip mobili Ryzen 3000 (ad esempio Ryzen 7 3750H) sono facilmente battibili in termini di prestazioni della CPU grazie ai 4 core aggiuntivi, alla microarchitettura Zen 2 e alle maggiori velocità di clock. Ciò significa che il Ryzen 7 4800H dovrebbe essere in grado di gestire tutti i compiti e i giochi più impegnativi.

Oltre agli otto core della CPU, l'APU integra anche una scheda grafica integrata Radeon RX Vega 7 con 7 CU e fino a 1600 MHz. Il controller di memoria a doppio canale supporta DDR4-3200 e LPDDR4-4266 RAM ad alta efficienza energetica. Inoltre, sul chip sono presenti 8 MB di cache di livello 3. Il TDP dell'APU è specificato a 35 Watt (default) e quindi 10 Watt in meno rispetto all'analogo Ryzen 7 4800H specificato. Tuttavia, il chip è comunque destinato a computer portatili grandi e potenti.
