AMD R9 7900

L'AMD Ryzen 9 7900X è un veloce processore desktop di fascia alta della serie Raphael. Offre 12 core basati sull'architettura Zen 4 che supporta l'hyperthreading (24 thread). I core hanno un clock da 4,7 (base) a 5,7 GHz (boost a singolo core). Quando tutti i 12 core sono completamente caricati, la velocità massima di clock è di 5,1 GHz. Il 7900X è il secondo Ryzen più veloce al lancio, battuto solo dal Ryzen 9 7950X con 4 core in più.

Le prestazioni dell'R9 7900X sono chiaramente migliori rispetto al vecchio Ryzen 9 5900X grazie all'architettura migliorata e al moderno processo a 5 nm. Rispetto al Core i9-13700K di Intels Raptor Lake, le prestazioni single-core sono leggermente inferiori e le prestazioni multi-core leggermente più veloci. Le prestazioni di gioco sono un po' inferiori e in media sono solo alla pari con il Core i5-13600K e anche inferiori al vecchio Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

La serie Raphael utilizza ancora un design chiplet con due cluster CCD (ciascuno con 8 core possibili) in 5nm e un IO-die (incluso il controller di memoria e l'iGPU Radeon Graphics) in 6nm.
