Intel Xeon E-2176G
L'Intel Xeon E-2176G è un processore desktop di fascia alta con sei core basati sull'architettura di Coffee Lake ed è stato annunciato nel terzo trimestre del 2018. Il processore si blocca tra i 3,7 e i 4,7 GHz e può eseguire fino a dodici thread contemporaneamente grazie all'Hyper-Threading. Secondo Intel, la CPU è prodotta in un processore migliorato a 14nm (14nm++). Rispetto alle analoghe CPU desktop Coffe Lake (ad esempio Core i7-8700K), le CPU Xeon includono il supporto per la RAM ECC.
Grazie ai due core aggiuntivi, le prestazioni sono aumentate di quasi il 50% rispetto ai precedenti modelli Kaby Lake quad-core. Le prestazioni del singolo core non sono migliorate molto. Come modello di fascia alta, l'E-2176G è adatto alle applicazioni e ai giochi più impegnativi.
La iGPU integrata Intel UHD Graphics P630 iGPU dovrebbe offrire prestazioni più elevate in quanto la sua frequenza di clock è stata aumentata di 50 MHz. La costruzione è identica a quella della Intel HD Graphics P630. Ci aspettiamo un miglioramento delle prestazioni, ma come soluzione di fascia bassa probabilmente visualizzerà i giochi attuali senza problemi solo a dettagli ridotti - se del caso.
Intel specifica il TDP con 80 watt e quindi 15 W in più come ad esempio la CPU desktop Core i7-8700.
