EN→IT Archive.org versionThe ASUS UL20FT is a much-anticipated update to the popular UL20A. For just a few dollars more than the original price of the UL20A, the new UL20FT gives you a powerful Core i3 processor, a new 16:9 widescreen display and a larger hard drive. That said, this is an "evolutionary" update and not a "revolutionary" upgrade to last year's 12-inch thin and light laptop. The UL20FT still uses weak integrated graphics and lacks any high-speed data ports such as USB 3.0, eSATA, or an ExpressCard slot. Most people can live without an optical drive today, but if you care about watching DVDs on a flight then it might bother you that this laptop lacks a DVD drive. Still, for less than $650 the ASUS UL20FT makes perfect sense for students or adults who want a compact, lightweight laptop that won't break the bank.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Scheda grafica intregrata basata sul chipset GM45 (Montevina). Più performante rispetto alla vecchia GMA X3100 grazie ha due shader in più ed ad un clock più elevato. Rimane, comunque, non consigliata per i giocatori più incalliti. Il processore video integrato è capace di codificare video HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2). Ad esempio permette la riproduzione di video HD compatibile con i requisiti del logo Blu-Ray, con il supporto nativo per unità Blu-Ray.
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

330UM: Il Core i3-330UM un processore energeticamente efficiente con voltaggio ultra low senza Turbo Boost e funzioni AES per portatili. Grazie all'Hyperthreading, possono essere processati 4 threads simultaneamente. Nel pacchetto sono comprese una scheda grafica integrata (Intel HD Graphics da 166-500 MHz) ed un controller di memoria DDR3-800.
