AMD Vega 8 R5000

La AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 è una GPU integrata nella serie Ryzen 5000 per computer portatili (Cezanne, ad esempio Ryzen 7 5800U). La GPU è basata sull'architettura Vega (GCN di quinta generazione) e ha 8 CU (= 512 shader) con clock fino a 2.000 MHz. Rispetto alla precedente generazione di iGPU Vega 8, la serie Ryzen 5000 offre alcune ottimizzazioni e una maggiore velocità di clock di 2 GHz contro 1,75 GHz. 

Le prestazioni dipendono dal limite TDP configurato del chip Ryzen e dal raffreddamento del portatile. Inoltre, la configurazione della memoria influenza notevolmente le prestazioni di gioco. Nei nostri test, le prestazioni sono state significativamente migliori rispetto alla vecchia generazione 4000 (ad esempio il 17% nei test sintetici), ma ancora adatte solo per giochi poco impegnativi a basse risoluzioni e impostazioni.

L'architettura Vega offre alcuni miglioramenti rispetto alla generazione Polaris e ora supporta DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1. Maggiori informazioni sono disponibili nel nostro articolo dedicato all'architettura Raven Ridge.

Grazie al moderno processo a 7nm e alle intelligenti caratteristiche di risparmio energetico, il consumo di energia è relativamente basso (secondo AMD), quindi la scheda grafica può essere utilizzata anche per notebook sottili e leggeri.
