Qualcomm Adreno 640
La Qualcomm Adreno 640 Ë una GPU per smartphone e tablet integrata nel SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Il chip disponibile a partire dall'inizio del 2019 Ë utilizzato principalmente in dispositivi Android di fascia alta.
Secondo Qualcomm, la GPU Adreno 640 offre performance migliorate del 20% rispetto all'Adreno 630, il suo predecessore, che Ë integrato nel SoC Snapdragon 845. Le prestazioni migliorate sono ottenute con l'Adreno 640 che ha il 50% di unit‡ di calcolo (ALU) FP16 e FP32 in pi˘ rispetto all'Adreno 630, mentre il suo processo di produzione FinFET a 7 nm lo rende anche il 20% pi˘ efficiente.
L'Adreno 640 supporter‡ anche l'API Vulkan 1.1, cosa possibile anche per le altre GPU della serie Adreno 600.
