Il Qualcomm Adreno 642 è una GPU per smartphone e tablet integrata nel SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G. Il chip sarà disponibile dalla metà del 2021 e sarà utilizzato principalmente nei dispositivi Android di fascia media superiore.

Secondo Qualcomm, la GPU Adreno 642 offre un 50% di prestazioni in più rispetto all'Adreno 620, il suo predecessore, che è integrato nel SoC Snapdragon 768G. Questo grazie anche al veloce supporto di memoria LPDDR4X-4200 del SoC.

L'Adreno 642 supporta OpenCL 2.0 FP, OpenGL ES 3.2 e Vulkan 1.1.

Lo Snapdragon 780G è prodotto nel moderno processo LPPE a 5nm con EUV presso Samsung che dovrebbe fornire una buona efficienza energetica.
