ARM Mali-T760 MP8

L'ARM Mali-T760 MP8 è una veloce soluzione grafica mobile che troviamo in SoCs ARM come il Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa (Galaxy S6). Il chip è disponibile dall'inizio del 2015 ed è una delle soluzioni più veloci della sia classe al momento del lancio. Oltre ad OpenGL ES 3.1, la GPU supporta OpenCL 1.1 e DirectX 11. Secondo ARM, la Mali-T760 può essere ridimensionata da 1 - 16 cores/clusters.

La versione MP8 offre 8 clusters con clock fino a 772 MHz (302 GFLOPS). Nella maggioranza dei benchmarks, la GPU è in grado di superare la concorrente Adreno 420 (Snapdragon 805) e la PowerVR GX6450 (Apple A8). Solo pochi chips per tablet come il Tegra K1/X1 o il GXA6850 (Apple A8X) sono ancora leggermente più veloci. Nel complesso, la Mali-T760 MP8 è la GPU per smartphone più veloce di inizio 2015 e gestirà in modo fluido la maggioranza di giochi Android games con risoluzioni elevate.

Nonostante le prestazioni impressionanti, la Mali-T760 MP8 / Exynos 7420 ha un consumo energetico davvero modesto grazie ad un avanzato processo in 14 nm FinFET (Samsung LPE). Pertanto, può essere usata anche negli smartphones più piccoli.
