Mediatek Dimensity 1080

Mediatek Dimensity 1080 è un SoC (system-on-a-chip) ARM di fascia media che può essere utilizzato sia negli smartphone che nei tablet (soprattutto Android). Il SoC integra due core ARM Cortex-A78 con frequenza fino a 2,6 GHz per i compiti più impegnativi e sei core ARM Cortex-A55 a risparmio energetico con frequenza di clock fino a 2 GHz.

Il chip è dotato di un modem 5G sub-6 GHz integrato, con supporto dual-SIM, in grado di raggiungere una velocità massima di download fino a 2,77 Gbit/s. Sono supportati il Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) e il Bluetooth 5.2.;

Il controller di memoria è in grado di gestire la memoria di lavoro LPDDR4x o LPDDR5, nonché la memoria di massa UFS 3.1. Come scheda grafica integrata, il SoC utilizza il processore ARM Mali-G68 MC4che supporta display a 120 Hz e HDR10+ con una risoluzione massima di 2.520 x 1.440 pixel.

Le differenze con il modello Dimensity 920 sono minime, solo il clock massimo leggermente più alto e il supporto per fotocamere a risoluzione più elevata.

Il MediaTek Dimensity 1080 è ancora prodotto in 6 nm.
