 Kirin 655

L'HiSilicon Kirin 655 è un SoC ARM-based octa-core per smartphones e tablets di fascia media. E' stato annunciato a fine 2016 ed ha otto cores ARM Cortex-A53. Quattro cores hanno un clock fino a 1.7 GHz (power saving cores) e quattro fino a 2.1 GHz (performance cores). La differenza con il precedente Kirin 650 sono i 100 MHz in più di velocità clock speed per i performance cores.

Inoltre, il SoC integra una scheda grafica ARM Mali-T830 MP2 (da 600 MHz con 40.8 GFLOPS), un controller di memoria da 64-Bit LPDDR3 e un dual-sim LTE Cat. 6 (max. 300 MBit/s e GSM, WCDMA, UMTS, HSPA+). Il processore ha prestazioni simili al precedente Kirin 930 e pertanto sufficienti per l'utilizzo quotidiano e le apps non pesanti. I SoCs high-end con cores Cortex-A57 o A72 ovviamente sono molto più veloci. Il SoC è realizzato con un moderno processo 16nm FinFET e di conseguenza è energeticamente efficiente.
